Willow Grove competes throughout the month of July in The Union County Outdoor Swim League (UCOSL). Our team is a big mix of age (5-18 years!) and experience (brand new to veteran year round competitors) and we welcome new team members every year. 

We are thrilled to have a very experienced and enthusiastic crew leading the WG team this summer. Abby, Elaina, and Alex will be returning for their 4th, 3rd, and 2nd years of coaching and they will be joined by Charlotte as a first year coach.  

In 2025, we had 124 swimmers continuing the long tradition of representing Willow Grove as Barracudas. The Barracudas are the heart of Willow Grove Swim Club and the magic of summer swim is something everyone should experience!

2026 REGISTRATION

Until June 16, families can register their children for swim team via this FORM. Please complete a separate registration form for each of your swimmers, including those that will be new to the team and attending evaluations this year.

Following registration, families with returning swimmers will be invoiced within a week. Those with new swimmers will be invoiced following a successful evaluation. The cost of the swim team is $60 per swimmer for bonded members and $70 per swimmer for seasonal members. There is a $10 discount for families with 2 children and a $20 discount for families with 3 children.

SWIM TEAM EVALUATIONS

Evaluations are now complete. Please complete the linked form to contact the team.

To determine a child’s readiness, we offer a casual evaluation before the season begins. Kids meet our coaches, briefly swim any strokes of their choice, and tread water for one minute. We are not looking for speed or specific skill, but we need to know the kids can safely manage a practice. If your child would rather meet a coach privately, we can easily set that up.

EQUIPMENT

Our 2026 team suit will be a Sporti suit that is almost identical to the TYR suit we used last year. Those wanting to buy a new suit can purchase directly from our team store but there is no requirement to purchase the official team suit. The sizing is quite similar to last year’s TYR suit, but please refer to the SwimOutlet site for specific information. While the suit will not arrive with the yellow WG logo used last year, it can easily be added once you have the suit.

For meets and practices, swimmers should have goggles, athletic style swimsuits, and swim caps for those with longer hair. WG swim caps are available for purchase at the snack bar.

2026 PRACTICE SCHEDULE

• Pre-Season practices: Offered every day Monday 6/15 through Tuesday 6/23
  • 8 & Under team members: 3:45-4:30pm or 4:45-5:30pm 
  • 9-10 Years: 3:45-4:45pm
  • 11 Years and Over: 4:45-5:45pm
    No afternoon practice 6/19 or 6/24 for SPF’s last day
    

• Morning practices begin Thursday 6/25 and run every weekday through Friday 7/24
  • 10 & Under: 9:30-10:30am (Hopper and Main Pool)
  • 11 & Over: 10:30-11:30am
    
  • We strongly encourage you to attend morning practices when possible. The team has use of the entire pool; offering more space, less distraction, and a longer practice.

  • Friday, June 19: 9 and Over Stroke Clinic 1, 8:30-10am
  • Friday, June 19: 8 and Under Stroke Clinic, 10:15-11:15am
  • Sunday, July 12: Stroke Clinic 2, 8:30-10am

• Evening practices are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and will begin 6/29
  • We will offer two sessions: 5:30-6:15pm and 6:15-7pm
  • Please be mindful that evening slots are meant to accommodate families that are unable to attend morning practice
